On April 8, Jin10 News reported that U.S. Energy Secretary Rick Perry stated on Tuesday that if Iran cannot reach a protocol with Trump regarding its nuclear program, Iran will face harsher sanctions. In an interview, Perry said, "Therefore, I absolutely expect very severe sanctions to be imposed on Iran, hoping to force them to abandon their nuclear program."
