Ethereum Could Reach $10,000 – Tom Lee Sees Record Rally Fueled by ETF Inflows

Tom Lee, founder and analyst at Bitmine, predicts that Ethereum’s price could reach $10,000 by the end of 2025, and in an optimistic scenario, climb as high as $12,000–$15,000. The main driver behind this forecast is the massive capital inflow into spot Ethereum ETFs, which in recent days has significantly outpaced demand for Bitcoin funds.

🚀 Ethereum Outpacing Bitcoin Over the past eight weeks, ETH has surged more than 78%, compared to Bitcoin’s 15% gain. According to Lee, this proves that Ethereum is becoming a key infrastructure for institutional blockchain projects, stablecoins, and asset tokenization.

Fundstrat has even added Ethereum to its prestigious "Mag7 & Bitcoin" investment basket, with ETH rising 28% year-to-date, compared to BTC’s 18%.

📊 Record-Breaking Capital Inflows Data shows that on August 13, Ethereum ETFs attracted $729 million in net inflows – nearly three times more than Bitcoin ETFs, which saw $86.9 million that day. This trend has continued for three consecutive days, with ETH funds gathering $2.2 billion, versus only $330.9 million for Bitcoin products. Lee points out that institutional crypto adoption is still in its early stages – currently, only 9% of fund managers hold crypto, compared to 48% who hold gold. This suggests a huge growth potential ahead.

🏦 Fundamentals Supporting the Bullish Case Ethereum is benefiting from legislative initiatives such as the GENIUS Act and the SEC’s push to move parts of the financial infrastructure onto the blockchain.

Major Wall Street players are already building projects directly on the Ethereum network, reinforcing its position as “probably the biggest macro trade of the next 10–15 years.” Bitmine, where Lee serves as CEO, currently holds over 1.15 million ETH worth more than $5 billion, and the total monitored Ethereum bond market now exceeds $15 billion.

📌 Outlook Lee believes the $10,000 target for Ethereum is realistic, especially if the record ETF inflows and adoption in real-world applications continue.

Standard Chartered also supports this optimism, raising its year-end target for ETH to $7,500 due to growing demand for staking, stablecoins, and broader blockchain adoption.
