Blockchain Detective Requests Support for Case, Raised $750K Donation!

Blockchain detective ZachXBT gained the support of the cryptocurrency community after filing a defamation lawsuit.
ZachXBT, a researcher on blockchain, posted on his official social media account on June 16 that he was sued for defamation by Taiwanese crypto entrepreneur Jeffrey Huang, known as MachiBigBrother.
The researcher claimed that Huang was trying to silence him through economic means but that he did not have the power to cover the legal costs and created a donation wallet for the payments he thought would exceed 1 million dollars.
In a short period of time, donations of 170.9 Ethereum (ETH), over 180 thousand USD Coins (USDC) and a total of over $750 thousand in many different cryptocurrencies were sent to the wallet.
Zach used the following statements on the subject:
It's sickening to see things turn out this way, but I knew it would happen one day because the price of telling the truth is that sometimes people don't like what they say.
In this context, lawyer Stephen Palley, operating in the crypto money industry, showed his support to the researcher by stating that he would help Zach's defense.
What happened?
The case was the subject of an article the researcher wrote about Huang in 2022. In the related article, Zach claimed that Huang has been pumping and dumping on tokens and NFTs on several projects, including Formosa Financial. It has been claimed that Huang has acquired a total of over $38 million in assets from these activities.
Zach used the following statements about the corruption he claims to have taken place at Formosa Financial:
Formosa Financial went through a difficult period on June 22, 2018, with a total of 22 thousand ETH withdrawn from its treasury of 11,000 Ethereum (ETH) in two separate transactions. This is linked to a share buyback transaction by George Hsieh, the company's partner and sole director, without the knowledge of the investors.
Zach claimed that the withdrawn funds were transferred to accounts linked to Huang shortly thereafter.
While the article contained various accusations against many different projects such as Formosa Financial, Huang and his lawyer filed a defamation lawsuit in the Texas District Court against the allegations.
In the case file, it was stated that Huang did not have any control over the funds over Formosa Financial, so it was impossible for him to reach the funds, while it was stated that Zach damaged Huang's reputation with his slander.
