Missing after arriving in Hangzhou from Malaysia?
According to the Malaysian newspaper Sin Chew Daily, a Chinese Malaysian woman from Kuala Lumpur flew to Hangzhou, China to meet a Chinese online friend she met through a mobile game, without informing her family, and has been missing since.
According to reports, the 22-year-old woman named Huang left home alone last Saturday (March 9) under the pretext of wanting to make a cake with friends. After her family discovered she had not returned home overnight, they continued to call her. The following evening, Huang called her family back, stating that she was driving south to Johor Bahru to meet several male online friends, and then she vanished.
After an investigation by the Malaysian Immigration Department, Huang has flown from Kuala Lumpur International Airport II to Hangzhou, China last Saturday. It is currently unclear whether Huang traveled to Hangzhou alone or was taken away by someone.
Huang's brother Awei said that the family has a harmonious relationship and talks about everything, and he doesn’t understand why his sister has been out of contact for several days and hasn’t returned calls. Awei pointed out that after she met a Chinese man through an online mobile game in January this year, she once wanted to meet him in real life.
Huang's family also sought help from the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, hoping to find their sister in Hangzhou with the embassy's assistance.
