I'm such an idiot. I stayed up all night last night and ended up making two fatal mistakes because I overthought things, which led to me manually closing two orders with high profit-loss ratios.

First, I posted a dynamic that Bitcoin had a long position, and it was doing well when it suddenly pulled back. I found out it was because Ethereum reached a new high and formed a engulfing pattern with a 5-minute RSI in overbought territory, so I determined that there would be a pullback. Therefore, I closed my Bitcoin long position at breakeven and opened a short position on Ethereum, but after a spike down, it continued to reach new highs and I exited with a loss.
It's no big deal; I determine that it will definitely break 4100 before the US market closes, so I decided to stay up all night waiting for the opportunity to go long.
Later, I found the opportunity to open a long order at 4025.28, with a stop loss set at 4004.87. However, it continued to decline slowly before 8 o'clock. After the Asian market opened at 8, the first three 5-minute candlesticks rose and then fell. I judged that there was no momentum to reach a new high on Saturday, so as I was nearing the stop loss, I chose to manually close the position and go to sleep. But dramatically, when I woke up, I saw that the lowest point was at 4005.15. 😭
I have summarized three lessons learned:
First, focus on one cryptocurrency to avoid interfering with your trading ideas.
Second, don't overthink it. Do not manually intervene in the trade before reaching the take profit level, whether it's exiting or moving the stop loss.
