The Fed has long been a puppet manipulated by politics! White House lackey Hassett is jumping up and down cursing in the streets, and behind it all are dirty calculations!
These guys in suits have messed up the Fed! Kevin Hassett, the economic overseer of the White House, spat out saliva in front of the Fox camera, directly tearing his face apart and cursing the Fed's interest rate decisions as being manipulated by political dirty hands—cutting rates by 50 basis points in a rush before last year's election, basically handing over a token of loyalty to the masters; after the election, they pretended to care and made a fake cut of 25 basis points. Now that people's livelihoods are at risk this year, they act all high and mighty and refuse to cut rates! Those old slickers at the Fed talk about being 'afraid of inflation from Trump's tariffs,' what a load of crap! The timing is sharper than a prostitute taking clients; if that's not political maneuvering, what is?
Trump's old man is even more of a tough guy. The economic data from his own house slapped him in the face? He directly made the head of the Labor Statistics Bureau roll! Hassett really licked the soles of shoes to perfection, while washing the ground for his master, he pointed at the Fed Chairman Powell's nose and cursed: "The committee is almost turning into a vegetable market faction, are you just sitting there doing nothing?!" The servant is overly protective of his master, and it's an extremely ugly sight!
The performance at the end of July was truly spectacular! The two loyalists that Trump inserted—Waller and Bowman—directly turned the table and voted against it. A double betrayal not seen for thirty years, slapping the Fed's "independence" in the face! The remaining nine (including the Republican old hand Powell himself) shrank back and played dead. Hassett jumped out to criticize the "leadership's dereliction of duty," hilarious, this mess was stirred up by your master himself!
The most shameless thing is Hasset kissing up! He brings out the Greenspan era as a "sacred text", praising how they set the tone in meetings to silence everyone. Isn't this just a blatant call to quickly find someone who can establish a one-man rule? Then he turns around and criticizes the current committee as "politically tainted". Is your face made of bulletproof steel? You play double standards better than a Sichuan opera face change!
Ask him if he is willing to take on this hot potato? Hassett immediately pretends to be submissive: "Work is pretty good right now... but if the boss needs, we can talk." This coy and servile demeanor is just like waiting for the master to throw a bone!
Trump's side wasn't idle either. The Treasury's Basant backed down first, and Old Trump immediately said: within two or three days, he would pick someone from the three to fill the gap! Specifically looking to appoint someone to fill the remaining months of Kugler's term, clearly aiming to stab the heart of the Fed! He even cheekily said, "The new appointee must have a Wall Street background," and ended with a shocking statement: "Aren't we all coming from Wall Street?" — Listen to this! He treats the central bank like his own backyard!
Those old guys at the Fed are still stubbornly claiming to be "not influenced by politics." Give me a break! Sudden interest rate cuts before the election, top-level voting along party lines, the president firing a director for a report, the White House openly placing its own people… One thing after another has completely stripped the "independence" down to nothing!
The central bank has become the night pot for politicians; who will protect the hard-earned money of the common people? Once the vultures of Wall Street settle into the Fed's chair, our livelihoods will only be the leftovers from their dining table! In this dirty power-sharing game, which side do you bet will win?
