Wang Xin's New Journey in Web3: From KuaiBo to Technological Fairness, Exploring the Intersection of AI and Encryption Economy

From "Technology is Innocent" to "Technology is Fair": Wang Xin's New Journey in Web3

In the golden age of the development of the internet in China, KuaiBo was a legend in the hearts of countless people. This video player once accounted for 80% of the domestic video traffic, serving over 500 million users. The founder of KuaiBo, Wang Xin, also experienced the peaks and valleys of life as a result.

After regaining his freedom, Wang Xin returned to the public eye with a brand new attitude. However, his "second spring" venture did not go smoothly, and the popularity of the new product quickly faded, causing Wang Xin to gradually fade from people's sight.

By early 2025, Wang Xin rekindled his entrepreneurial passion and announced his full commitment to Web3, focusing on the intersection of AI Agents and the crypto economy. He also introduced the concept of "technological equity," viewing it as the core value for the next stage of entrepreneurship.

Recently, Wang Xin candidly shared his reflections on the past, his dedication to fair technology, and his belief in starting anew in the wave of Web3.

Two Missed Encounters with Blockchain

In 2011, Wang Xin first encountered Bitcoin. Out of curiosity, he read the Bitcoin source code and mined a small amount. However, at that time, he was focused on the KuaiBo business and did not delve deeper into it. To him, BTC at that time seemed more like a geek's experiment: highly volatile with an uncertain future.

"The mindset towards Bitcoin is completely different now." More than a decade has passed, and Wang Xin's view on Bitcoin has changed dramatically. On one hand, he genuinely admires the innovation of blockchain technology; on the other hand, Bitcoin has gradually grown from being neglected to becoming a mainstream asset on par with gold. Wang Xin stated that Bitcoin has built global trust through its community-driven, decentralized framework, overturning his initial skepticism and providing him with many insights.

In February 2018, Wang Xin regained his freedom and made a "high-profile comeback" by gathering with some well-known entrepreneurs. At that time, there were rumors that Wang Xin would venture into the blockchain field.

However, Wang Xin ultimately chose to establish Yun Ge Artificial Intelligence in Shenzhen, diving into the social and AI sectors. Due to concerns about policy risks, he did not lead his team to fully engage in blockchain. Nevertheless, the company still retains a small team to continuously monitor the industry and maintain research and learning related to the technology.

Entering Web3 After Years of Silence

After launching the social app "Toilet" and the flexible employment recruitment product "Lingge AI", Wang Xin largely faded from the public eye for three to four years. He stated that this was intentional and also a result of the environment.

Both products did not meet expectations, and the "toilet" project was even halted before its launch. This ups and downs experience made him realize the need for calm reflection. Wang Xin said: "For a serial entrepreneur, such adjustments are important. I have had glory as well as lows, and I need a stronger mindset and clearer goals. Only by grounding myself can I go further."

During the incubation period, Wang Xin also invested in some projects, mainly in the hardware and AI fields. He stated that he did not intend to become an investor, but rather provided guidance and support at the invitation of friends, and as he gained a deeper understanding, he became involved in investments. So far, he has not invested in any Web3 projects.

With the rapid development of the AI industry, the popularization of large models like ChatGPT, and the gradual clarification of Web3 policies in places like Singapore and Hong Kong, Wang Xin realized that these two technologies, which enhance productivity and improve production relationships, could be integrated. This became his entry point into the Web3 industry.

Focus on Web3 + AI agent

Wang Xin believes that small companies find it difficult to bear the enormous cost pressure of a general AI platform. He suggests focusing on vertical scenarios to create "small but beautiful" landing products, or combining AI with Web3 to explore new business models.

"AI is very centralized, including large models, which are super centralized and have little to do with Web3. We are thinking about which part of AI is related to individuals? That is the AI agent," Wang Xin said.

The essence of the AI Agent is an orchestrated automation workflow that requires human participation for tuning and decision-making. When communities or KOLs repeatedly optimize similar tasks, they realize the core value of the Agent. With the help of Web3 technology, each Agent can have a unique on-chain identity, and smart contracts record contributions and earnings, ensuring that "data contributors" become "value recipients".

Wang Xin pointed out that the two core elements of Web3 are asset issuance and transfer. The real challenge lies in how to ensure assets continue to appreciate in value and how to allow all parties to benefit within the ecosystem. The solution lies both in enhancing product capabilities and in utilizing Web3 to reshape production relationships. For example, addressing pain points such as high learning costs, private key management, and Gas fee settings, so that on-chain experiences closely resemble daily operations, could potentially foster new professions, new communities, and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Views on Blockchain Games

As a former "invisible giant" of the gaming platform, Wang Xin has unique insights into the currently sluggish Web3 gaming sector.

"It's difficult to achieve playability and decentralization at the same time." Wang Xin admitted that truly fun games do not rely on Web3. Players seek immersion and enjoyment, rather than underlying technology. Overemphasizing blockchain often affects playability, making players worry about private keys, transaction fees, etc., which deviates from the original intention of the game.

He suggested entering from a certain link, such as using low-cost on-chain payments to replace traditional models, saving transaction fees and alleviating the pressure on game developers. In cross-border distribution, transactions can be completed using stablecoins or multi-chain wallets to reduce developers' costs.

When the payment and profit-sharing processes are seamlessly integrated, players can enjoy a traditional gaming experience while unknowingly utilizing Web3 infrastructure. Developers, after reducing intermediary profit-sharing, are able to continuously provide higher quality products.

Reasons for Supporting Meme Coin Fair3

In the Web3 field, Wang Xin is more like a supporter and evangelist. He often shares his views on AI and blockchain, and also mentions the Fair3 ecosystem that he supports.

Wang Xin stated that Fair3 originated from a pure Meme coin. After the core members took over, they began to think about a more profound vision: to build a truly decentralized ecosystem that benefits every participant. Fair3 aims to leverage the power of Web3 to challenge the unfairness caused by centralized algorithms and platform monopolies in the traditional internet, transforming the "Accumulating Sand into a Tower" culture into actual ecological value.

He stated that in the current "knowledge stage" and "attention stage," the monopoly of data and algorithms leads to the exploitation of ordinary users and creators. Fair3 aims to gather individual power, to coalesce and voice through the community, making unfairness visible, and leveraging decentralized technology to achieve the transition from cultural construction to ecological implementation.

Currently, the Fair overseas community has reached a scale of 20,000 to 30,000 people. In the future, there are plans to introduce more open-source projects and tools to provide real value for token holders and consumers.

The Connotation of "Technological Fairness"

Wang Xin has repeatedly mentioned the concept of "technological fairness." He believes that to achieve technological fairness, three elements must be met simultaneously: algorithm transparency, data ownership by individuals, and continuous profit for individuals.

Algorithm transparency means that all core algorithms must be open-source and auditable, avoiding "black box" operations. Only when participants can clearly see the algorithm logic can they maintain trust in the results.

Technological fairness requires that each piece of data is owned and used by its creator, and that clear proof of ownership is obtained on the blockchain. This way, individuals can become "masters" in the digital economy, avoiding unpaid contributions while being deprived of benefits.

Wang Xin emphasized that individuals should not only participate in technology construction and data provision but also continuously obtain economic returns through contributions and consumption behaviors. He illustrated the potential of the "consumption + investment" dual return model by giving the example of a friend sharing their experience with weight loss injections and investing in related stocks.

He also pointed out that in a decentralized token economy, early builders and active consumers can continuously share the growth dividends of the platform through holding tokens and promotion, which is superior to traditional models.

Response to the Sentiment of Qvod

"Owe Kuaibo and President Wang a membership" has become a trending internet meme, expressing support and gratitude towards Wang Xin to some extent. However, Wang Xin stated that he would not issue personal tokens to "make up" for the membership fees.

He thanked users for their support over the years, but believes that tokenizing this sentiment has the risk of "overdrawing fans", does not align with the principle of technological fairness, and may also capitalize the emotional capital of supporters. He emphasized that "he will absolutely not issue personal tokens."

Wang Xin also believes that Kuai Bo can only represent the past and is not a cultural symbol that transcends time and space, so it is not suitable for tokenization.

In response to external doubts about his personal image being used to promote Fair3, Wang Xin admitted to having concerns but stated that community support has strengthened his resolve. He views himself as owing a debt of "technological fairness" and believes he must continue to advocate for the community and build the ecosystem, rather than seeking one-time profits.

Wang Xin stated that he and his team are working hard to improve the product and business model, hoping that early participants can continue to benefit. He compared the platform to a live broadcasting ecosystem, expecting that everyone has the opportunity to create value.

Finally, Wang Xin shared his experience of educating his family about Web3, encouraging his daughter to think about peer needs, such as game boosting and blind box exchanges, which could form small-scale community economies through simple tools and token design. He believes that future opportunities lie in AI and Web3, hoping that the next generation can be exposed to these fields early on.
