On May 5, CryptoQuant analysts said that Ethereum has experienced a sustained correction in price since it reached a cycle high of $4,107 on December 16, 2024. But in this bear market phase, ETH accumulation addresses are still adding to their positions. ETH accumulation addresses are those addresses that consistently receive ETH without making a large sale, and whose balance remains stable or increases over time, regardless of whether they are large or small holders, and these addresses are usually long-term holders who have held Ethereum for more than 155 days. On-chain data shows that these accrued addresses entered unrealized loss territory on March 10, when Ethereum fell to $1,866.7, while their average holding price remained at $2,026. Despite this, the ETH accumulation address is still increasing its ETH holdings in the face of unrealized losses: it held 15,535,600 ETH on March 10 and increased to 19,037,800 ETH on May 3, an increase of 22.54%. This shows that in the long run, ETH investors have shown strong confidence in Ethereum assets, projects, and ecosystem.
